Mid Lachlan Landcare

Mid Lachlan Landcare is a community organisation committed to the regeneration of land and communities around Canowindra, Cowra, Eugowra, Gooloogong, Greenethorpe, Koorawatha, Lyndhurst, Wyangla and Woodstock.

In the Mid Lachlan Landcare district local landcare groups are caring in ways that include:
Planting and protecting more native vegetation – trees, shrubs, grasses.
Fencing off creeks and rivers to improve water quality.
Measuring water quality.
Learning about and taking action to control salinity.
Coordinating local action on anything – from feral animal control, sharing equipment and even coordinating lifts to Sydney to save on transport.
Researching control methods for mistletoe.
Building artificial nest boxes to increase habitat in new plantings.
Hosting Clean Up Australia Days and National Tree Planting Days, etc.
Hosting or going to training days about anything that interests people in their district.
Learning about Carbon Credits.
Sharing what they learn with others.
Having a great time together – keeping the neighbourhood alive and connected.
